2004 Nissan Quest Problem
No car was ever built to perfection. All cars are subject to come across problems
at anytime. The Nissan Quest is no exemption to this. This page presents some
problems encountered by the 2004 Nissan Quest. The top problems that were noted
for 2004 Quest are about quality-control issues, voluntary recalls and customer
complaints.
Voluntary recall was considered to be among the top problems that were noted
for the 2004 Quest. Nissan has recalled the Quest twice for this year and the
second one affected over 27, 700 units which was caused by the electronic sliding
doors that automatically opened when the vehicle accelerated too quickly, and
another recall instance affected around 13, 800 units due to faulty weight sensors
that deployed front passenger airbags even when a child is in a seat.

Another problem is quality-control issues. Among the only four Japanese minivans
recommended by Consumer Reports and JD Power to which are the Toyota Sienna, Honda
Odyssey, Mazda MPV, and Nissan Quest, the Quest had the lowest ranking of the
so called ?predicted reliability? for it was rated just good, compared to MPV
and Sienna that was rated excellent, and the Odyssey which was rated very good.
Consumer complaints affected the sales of Nissan Quest. Though the complainants
were much lesser than satisfied consumers, we cannot deny the fact that these
complaints really hit hard the market sales of Quest. Compared to other minivans,
the Quest sales is far way behind, however, its sales was considered good when
it was launched in 1993.
