Nissan Quest Problem

Unlike other Nissans, sales of Quest are unsatisfactory. Though it gains kudos
from critics, it doesn't stand out in the showrooms. The greatest factors of this
problem are the quality-control issues, voluntary recalls and customer complaints.
Among the vehicle defects that lead to Nissan Quest recall are: the electronic
sliding doors that automatically opened if the vehicle accelerated too swiftly
and the defective weight sensors that deployed front passenger air bags even when
a child is occupying the seat. There are also consumer complaints regarding Nissan
Quest.
There are consumers who reported that in a very low impact accident, Nissan Quest
minivan immediately caught fire and swallowed up the whole vehicle in few minutes.
One consumer complained the vehicle's "check engine" light blinking then another
problem that the owner encountered is the leak somewhere in the minivan that makes
the vehicle's interior turn rusty and soaking wet.

Another consumer revealed that the '97 Nissan Quest has a problem with its transmission.
This consumer stated that the transmission works very well but it almost always
never has second gear. There are also complaints regarding the 2004 Nissan Quest
paint peeling. Paint peeling can easily be noticed on the inside door jam, pillar
and strike area on the passenger side door. The consumer reported that the paint
is peeling away in sheets, almost 4 inches wide.
Despite these problems, lots of consumers love this minivan due to its features
and the conveniences that it offers.
