Nissan Quest Transmission

A transmission is a drivetrain component in a rear-wheel-drive vehicle that features
internal gears which enable the vehicle to travel at different speeds on the road
when the engine is turning at the same rpm. Nissan Quest transmission can either
be a manual transmission which require the shifting of gears as needed, or an
automatic one which upshifts and downshifts without driver input, according to
prescribed parameters, although most can be shifted manually to a point. Transmission
depends upon the year model and trim of your Nissan Quest.

Most cars started with manual transmissions and later on use an automatic one
with overdrive or vice versa. The Nissan quest started with 4-speed automatic
overdrive, then an additional of an optional 5-speed manual transmission with
overdrive for the following year, then back to automatic only until 2004 when
the 5-speed automatic transmission came back.
